Fresh & Clean {about my blog design}

Clearly you must have noticed that I have a fresh new blog design. Duh. This design was completed by Stephanie via How Sweet Designs. I couldn't be happier with her final product and I would recommend her services for anyone looking for a beautiful, yet affordable blog design. When I first started the blog design process I wasn't totally sure what I wanted. I knew something along the lines of mint green being my favorite color. I also felt that this color is so common in blog designs and I didn't want my blog to look like everyone else's. With Stephanie's help, she came up with the watercolor navigation bar, the mint color and the light blue accents. I am totally in love with the results. This blog design totally represents my mellow vibe and simplicity in color. I'm not a huge fan of bright colors (sometimes I am, but usually I'm wearing black, white or light blue) and I like that my new blog design totally reflects this about me.

With the new blog design came the new blog name. I wanted it to be something that I could build off of. What I mean by this is a title not limiting. Seersucker + Stripes was so limiting to my topics. I felt that all I could discuss was preppy this, preppy that. I wanted something that would let me develop my style comfortably. Sure, I do love the preppy style, but as I am growing as a person so is my style. I wanted a name that not only reflected me, but also my personal style. A Sprinkle of Kate seemed like the perfect fit because it centered my blog around who I am and my taste in things, which is what I share on this blog.

I'm so excited that everything is finally updated on here and it's all ready to post! Stay tuned for new posts!
